Activities

Each year, managers are recognized for their notable achievements at Coastline Community, Golden West and Orange Coast Colleges, the District/DIS and KOCE-TV. In early Spring, nominations are requested from all managers at each location, and the winner is selected by a panel of peers, using the completed nomination forms as criteria for selection. The five winning managers are recognized at a formal presentation at the CDMA Spring Social and awarded a keepsake engraved, crystal statue.

CDMA assigns mentors to all new managers to insure that they will have the tools necessary for success. Mentors generally come from the site where the new manager is assigned but are not in the supervisory stream of the manager. Mentors are available to explain procedures, pitfalls and possibilities and to insure that the new manager meets everyone at his or her workplace.
